Who can ask for help

ALL FORMER OSU ATHLETES
01

Every sport and era

Football to fencing, rowing to wrestling. The audience is defined by having competed for Ohio State, not by sport, position, era or how a career ended. Read more in our independent mission.

02

Someone on their behalf

You, a teammate, or family can start the conversation. One message is enough to begin.

03

In a time of critical need

The mission focuses on former Ohio State athletes facing unforeseen, detrimental circumstances. The six need areas describe its scope, not a guaranteed service.

What kind of help is available

THREE PILLARS
PILLAR 01

Referrals

Expert referrals to professional resources, so nobody has to search for the right door alone.

PILLAR 02

Peer mentorship

Former teammates and Buckeye alumni who have walked the same road, and someone in your corner.

PILLAR 03

Financial assistance

Direct financial assistance described in the context of critical needs, not as an automatic payment for every inquiry.

The support considered depends on the individual circumstance and available resources. Our support programs explain how the three pillars fit together.

For connection beyond a personal inquiry, the BTGL community brings former athletes, families, alumni and fans together.
